21-12-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast)has moved East-Northeastwards and  now lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 520 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 235 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, due to the clouds moving from the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, Easterly Wave, development of convective clouds and due to the western disturbances, rain or thundershowers are likely to be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Shan States and isolated to scattered in the remaining Regions and States from 20-3-2024 to 24-3-2024.

        People should be awared untimely rainfall accompanied with thunder, lightning, hails and strong wind in the areas with development of convective clouds.
