Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to onset in Southern Myanmar Areas during (21-23) of May, Deltaic Areas during(24-28) and Central Myanmar Areas during (29) of May to (3) of June. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. A low pressure area may form over the South Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or Thundershower will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States, about normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States.
Rainy days will be expected 6 to 8 days in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and 3 to 5 days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.

Day temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal temperature of May in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and about normal temperature of May in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
