28-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Two low pressure areas may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from Northern Myanmar Areas during September 15 to 20. Monsoon will be moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Western Bago Regions and Shan, Kayah States and about normal in Sagaing, Eastern Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (8) to (10) days in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and  about (4) to (7) days in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States.
