23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (1-1½) feet  at  Myitkyina, Bhamo and Katha and about (½-1) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (½) feet at Hkamti and Homalin and to fall below the present water levels about (½) feet  Mawlaik,  Kalewa and Monywa.
