SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayin State, weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) below April average temperatures in Kachin and Eastern Shan States, (4°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (2°C) above April average temperature in Magway Region, Southern Shan and Chin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk, Minbu and Magway, (41°C) each in Aunglan, Pyay and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (2.00)inches, Putao (0.75)inch, Machanbaw (0.63)inch, Myitkyina (0.59)inch, Lashio (0.31)inch and Kengtung (0.28)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd April, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region, (Narthern and Eastern) Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
