SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Rakhine State, isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regioins, Northern Shan State, (6°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, (8°C) to (10°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Bawlakhae and (39°C) in Nyaunglaybin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Paletwa and Kyauktaw (2.72)inches each, Myitkyina (1.45)inches, Maungdaw (1.41)inches, Hakha (1.22)inches, Yeu (1.06) inches, Myauk U (0.98)inch and Moegaung (0.83)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th March, 2017: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
