24-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First(10) days of March 2017

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (2 - 3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, and Thabeikkyin, about (1 - 2) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu and about (2 - 3) feet  at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of  March.

            The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (½ to 1) foot at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin and Mawlaik, forecast to fall  about (½) foot at Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of of March.
