A strong earthquake of magnitude (6.3) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Northern Sumatra, Indonesia) about (800) miles south of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (04)hr (34)min (36)sec M.S.T on 7th December, 2016.
24-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
