Depression
According to the observations at (19:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has futher intensified into a depression and reached over Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (710)miles South-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam (India), (740)miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur (India), (110)miles Southwest of Car Nicobar (India) and (365)miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar). It is forecast to move initially West-Northwest wards and then Northwest wards during next (72)hrs.
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Depression is located at Latitude (8.5) degree North and Longitude (91.0) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is about (30) miles per hour at (19:30) hrs MST today.

It is forecast to further intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (48)hrs.

Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.
