22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Shan (South and East) State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and  Northern Shan State, scattered in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin,  Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Night temperatures were (5°C) above November average temperature in Shan (North and East) State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature was (9°C) in Hakha. The noteworthy amounts of rainfalls recorded were Tada U (4.41)inches, Myitkyina (3.35) inches, Singaing (3.14)inches, Moemate (2.72)inches, Moekok (2.44) inches, Mandalay (1.77)inches, Zayarthiri (Yezin) (1.61)inches, Shwegyin (1.58)inches and Sagaing (1.54)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th November, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and  Magway Regions,  Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and  Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan States and  widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Mandalay and Bago Regions, Shan and Kayah States.
