BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area may form over Central Bay of Bengal during next (24) hours commencing morning today. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs MST today, the tropical storm “ SARIKA” over Bay of Ton Kin has been moving towards Northwest wards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Magway Region, Chin and Rakhine States.
