SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, fairly widespread in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States, scattered in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Paing Kyone (6.30)inches, Yangon (Mingaladon) (2.12)inches, Gwa (2.09)inches, Hkamti (1.73)inches, Coco-Island (1.65)inches, Myaungmya (1.54)inches and Okkapho (1.45)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region.
