SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Magway and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayin State, isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawkayeit (4.25)inches, Pyinmana (3.74)inches, Hpa-an (3.70)inches, Ann (3.55)inches, Naypyitaw(Yezin) (3.15)inches, Zabuthiri (M.O.T.C) (3.11)inches, Pyawbwe (2.64)inches, Taunggu (2.48)inches, Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) (2.36) inches, Myawady (2.17)inches, Pinlaung (2.09)inches, Laiway (2.01)inches, Myeik (1.61)inches, Meikhtila (1.54)inches and Mahlaing (1.50)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kayah, Kayin and Mon Stats, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
