BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 23rd September, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
