17-10-2024: According to the observations at (11:00)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression crossed North Tamil Nadu- South Andhra Pradesh coasts, near Chennai, India and it moved West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and weaken into a Low Pressure Area. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure cell may form over the North Andaman Sea around 20-10-2024. It is likely to move West Northwestwards and may intensify into a low pressure area over the central Bay of Bengal around 22-10-2024.
