SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours,
weatherhas been partly cloudy in Magway Region, rain or thundershowers have been
isolated in Naypyitaw,Upper Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States,
scattered in Lower Sagaing andMandalay Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and
Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago andYangon Regions, Kachin and
Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regionsand States.
The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawkayeit (2.24)inches,
Moekok (2.20)inches, Moemate (2.05)inches, Hainggyikyun (1.65)inches,
Paung(1.54)inches, Thipaw (1.49) inches, Khayan (1.30)inches, Manaung
(1.10)inches and Pyay (1.06)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman sea
and SouthBay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th September, 2016: Rain
orthundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State,
scatteredin Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State,
fairly widespread inSagaing Region, Kachin, Shan (North and East),
Chin and Rakhine States andwidespread in the remaining Regions
and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea
are likely at timeDeltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along
Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speedin squalls may
reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.
