SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During

the past (24) hours, rain or thundershower have been isolated in Upper

Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Magway Region,

Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in

Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Southern

Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining

Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Taninthayi

Regions, isolated heavy falls in Magway and Yangon Regions.The

noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yamethin (6.89)inches,

Launglone (4.29) inches, Kawthong (4.25)inches, Coco-Island (4.14)

inches, Khayan and Pyawbwe(Agro) (2.87) inches each, Kyaukbataung

(2.82)inches, Meikhtila (2.52)inches, Wundwin(Agro) (2.35)inches,Yangon

(Kaba-aye) (2.32)inches,Yangon(Northern Dagon) (2.17)inches, Dawei

(2.08)inches, Hainggyikyun (1.93)inches, Namsam (1.85)inches,

Sinphyugyun and Paung (1.50)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay

and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th July, 2016: Rain or

thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions,

Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in the

remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi

Region and  Mon State, isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon

and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced

Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind

speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in

Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon,

Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 30th July, 2016:

One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 30th July, 2016:

Some rain or thundershowers with heavy at time. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 30th July, 2016:

One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread

in Yangon Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region.
