SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain of thundershower have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Southern Shan State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State with isolated heavy falls in Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Belin (3.11)inches, Kawkayeit (2.87)inches, Paung (2.20)inches, Launglone (2.01) inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.73)inches and  Hlaingbwe (1.60)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the tropical strom “Mirinae” over South China Sea is centred at about (100)miles Southeast of Hanoi, Vietnam. It is forecast to move West- Norhtwest wards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th July, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Mon and Kayin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
