SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manaung (3.90)inches, Hainggyi Kyun (2.44)inches, Putao (2.32)inches, Kawthong (1.89)inches, Labutta (1.77)inches, Moemate and Sittwe (1.53)inches each, Homalin (1.50)inches and Theinzayet (1.38) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h.
