SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Magway Region, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myeik (3.78)inches, Hainggyi Kyun (3.39)inches, Moekok (2.24)inches, Manaung (2.17)inches, Katha (2.09)inches, Yangon (Kaba-aye) (1.97)inches, Ye U (1.77)inches, Mingaladon (1.65)inches, Ann and Central Yangon (1.57)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th June, 2016: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
