27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd September, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin and Rakhine states, widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Thundery condition in the central Myanmar areas.
