23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in Northern Myanmar Areas during (11 -16) of September, Central Myanmar Areas during (17 – 22) of September, Deltaic Areas during (23 – 27) of September and the whole country during  28th September to 3rd October. Out of (3) Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal, (2) may further intensify into the Depression.  Monsoon will be moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, Below normal in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah State and about normal in the remaining Regions and States.

Rainy days are expected about (4) to (8) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and (15) to (22) days in the remaining Regions and States.
