27-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 745 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 355 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (06:30) hrs MST today, the low pressure area over West Central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (12) hrs. Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the Coastal areas.
