BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (06:30) hrs MST today, the low pressure area over East Central Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong in the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21th May, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region,Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Deltaic areas.
