SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Shan States, isolated in Magway and Bago Regions, Chin State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were about May average temperatures in Rakhine State, (5°C) to (6°C)above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Myingyan and Gangaw, (43°C) in Nyaung Oo. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Madaya (1.06) inches, Thayat (0.91) inch, Shwebo and Monywa (0.51)inch each and Kyaukbataung, Aunglan and Sinphyugyun (0.32) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th May, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
