SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (3°C) below April average temperatures in Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kayah State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Mandalay and Kyaukse. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Pathein (1.30) inches, Hkamti (1.06) inches, Myaungmya (1.02) inches and Yangon (Mingaladon) and Mudon (0.94) inch each, Ngathaichaung (0.71) inch and Kyeikmayaw (0.67) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th April, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in the extreme Southern Myanmar areas.
