SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Minbu, Magway and Kyobinkauk. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (1.18) inches, Tamu (1.06) inches, Putao and Paletwa (0.83) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy in the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th April, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly wind may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers in the Southern Myanmar areas.
