SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Bago and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region, isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (12°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (5°C) below April average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States, (2°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Taunggu, Tharrawady and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Yangon(Mingaladon) (6.37)inches, Taungkok (4.09)inches, Thayat (2.68)inches, Thandwe (2.52)inches, Zaung Tu (2.32)inches, Taungdwingyi (2.24)inches, Bago (2.04)inches, Aunglan (2.02)inches, Pyawbwe (1.34)inches, Ann (1.14)inches, Naypyitaw (Otarathiri) (0.75)inch and Yangon(Kaba-aye) (0.71)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the West Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.
