SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in (Eastern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Bago Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperature in Kayin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Nyaungoo and Chauk, (41°C) each in Monywa, Myingyan and Pauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Tada U (1.93)inches, Myeik (1.81)inches, Pinlaung (1.77)inches, Singaing (1.76)inches, Myitnge (1.26)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.18)inches, Amarabura (1.10)inches, Thipaw and Nyaungcho (0.59)inch each, Mandalay (0.55)inch and Namsam (0.51)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, likelihood of a low pressure area may form over the South Andaman Sea during next (48)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few clouds to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated to scattered in the whole country.
