9-1-2026: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 835 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 115 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 340 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna during next 18 hours.Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayin State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Magway Region, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperatures in Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above November average temperature in Naypyitaw, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperature in Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 6.7°C in Hakha, 9.5°C in Tiddim and 13.4°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.23 inches in Mingin, 1.77 inches each in Kanbalu and Yeu, 1.65 inches in Myitkyina, 1.38 inches each in Magway and Thayat, 1.30 inches in Mandalay(Chanmyathasi), 1.28 inches in Patheingyi and 1.10 inches in Mandalay(Aungmyaythasan).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
