BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, North Bay, Westcentral Bay and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm“TRAMI” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards. It is forecast likely to move Westwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
