SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.80 inches in Tamu, 4.61 inches in Sittwe, 3.11 inches in Kengtung, 2.94 inches each in Pantanaw and Chaungsone, 2.55 inches each in Nyaungdon and Belin, 2.52 inches in Kyaukpyu, 2.33 inches in Thaton, 2.28 inches in Paung and 2.20 inches in Danubyu.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
