25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Northeast Bay of Bangal and Central Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in Chin State with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.09 inches in Kyaukpyu, 1.77 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), 1.26 inches in Falam, 0.90 inch in Labutta, 0.83 inch in Myingyan, 0.78 inch in Taunggyi and 0.71 inch in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and isolated in in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
