BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Bangladesh still persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 20th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Magway , Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
