BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over  South Bangladesh still persists. It is likely to move north-northwestwards and may further intensify into a Well marked low pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India during next (19-8-2024). Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 19th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in  Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Magway, Bago Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
