BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to Vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs MST today, the tropical Storm “Prapiroon” over Vietnam moved west-southwestwards and weaken into a Land depression over Vietnam.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing , Magway Region, scattered in Kayah State , Fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing , Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin State s and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of Regionally geavyfall in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 mph. Wave height will be about 11-14 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
