BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression next 24-hours. Thereafter it is likely to move northwestwards & cross Odisha coast, India on 21-7-2024.Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be Region scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40-45 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-14 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
