28-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards still persists. It is centered at about 630 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 210 Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai(India) and 70 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada (India).Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcenteral Bay of Bengal (Off South Odisha Coast). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
