30-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.84 inches in Putao, 2.75 inches in Bogale, 2.50 inches in Saw, 2.24 inches in Danubyu, 2.20 inches in Wakema, 2.00 inches in Tharrawady, 1.97 inches in Einme, 1.87 inches in Okpho, 1.77 inches in Lashio and 1.68 inches in Pantanaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcenteral Bay of Bengal (Off South Odisha Coast). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 40 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-13 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
