27-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 730 Nautical miles West-Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 270 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in  Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.65 inches in Hkamti, 2.92 inches in Thabaung, 2.76 inches in Coco-Island, 2.40 inches in Paung, 2.37 inches in Kyaukpyu, 2.16 inches each in Myeik and Kawthaung, 1.97 inches in Yangon(Mayangone), 1.73 inches in Homalin and 1.61 inches in Pathein.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th July 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Moderate monsoon.
