10-1-2026: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 855 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 270 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards, weaken into a Depression and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 8thJune 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
