SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Yangon Region and isolated in Ayeyarwady Region. Weather has been generally fair in Magway Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Namsam(Southern Shan) and (4°C) each in Putao, Heho, Loilin, Mongyang, Tiddim and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.01) inches in Coco Island, (1.15) inches in Kyaiklat, (0.79) inch in Kyeikkhame, (0.47) inch in Mudon and (0.39) inch in Ye.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State.
