SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.69) inches in Chaungsone, (6.10) inches in Myeik, (4.65) inches in Kyeikkhame, (4.53) inches in Launglon, (4.37) inches in Shwekyin, (4.05) inches in Mudon, (3.90) inches in Khayan, (3.82) inches in Pantanaw, (3.74) inches each in Kungyangon and Myawaddy and (3.43) inches in Paung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over Deltaic Areas of Myanmar is likely continue to move North-Northwest wards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
