SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mon State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.00) inches in Htilin, (1.93) inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), (1.90) inches in Rambree, (1.88) inches in Kyeikdon, (1.85) inches in Moemate(Myitsone), (1.77) inches in Kawkareik, (1.06) inches in Thaton and (0.98) inch in Homalin.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon state, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
