SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Bago and Yangon Regions, Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Launglon (8.03)inches, Hkamti (2.76)inches, Myeik (2.68)inches, Kawkayeit (2.20)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.13)inches, Belin (1.89)inches, Myitkyina (1.85)inches, Kawthong (1.77)inches and Paung (1.69)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over West Central Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon.
