SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) below December average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) below December average temperatures in Kayah and Kayin States and (2°C) below December average temperatures in Yangon Region and Northern Shan and Mon States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Namsam, (3°C) in Heho, (5°C) each in Loilin and Hakha and (6°C) each in Thipaw, Kengtung and Mongyang.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st DECEMBER, 2017: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface winds speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Generally fair weather in the whole country.
