SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Saging, Tanintharyi Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Ayeyawady Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (6.30) inches in Htilin, (4.69) inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.65) inches in Gangaw, (2.36) inches in Pauk, (2.00) inches in Hakha, (1.93) inches each in Kalewa and Wakema, (1.89) inches each in Nyaung Oo and Labutta and (1.67) inches in Saw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “SITRANG” over Eastcentral Bay and adjoining of Westcentral Bay and Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal and centered at about (305) Nautical miles West of Thandwe, (240) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, (235) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Maungdaw(Myanmar), (195) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island (India) and (260) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Barisal (Bangladesh). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Bago Region and Nothern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Upper Saging Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayayarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%). 

STATE OF THE SEA: Frequently squall with very rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (60-65) mph. Occasional squall with rough seas are likely at time Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Wave height will be about (14-18) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts and (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Nothern Shan States.
