BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scatterd in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (6-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
