SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Yangon Region, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below December average temperature in Kachin State, (2°C) below December average temperature in Northern Shan State, (5°C) above December average temperature in Mon State, (4°C) above December average temperatures in Kayah and Kayin States, (2°C) above December average temperatures in Bago Region, Southern Shan and Rakhine States and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Hakha, (5°C) each in Putao and Mogoke, (7°C) each in Tiddim and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was Coco Island (0.43)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about (470) miles East-Southeast of Machilipatnam, (470)miles Southeast of Gopalpur (India) and forecast to move North- Northwest wards and further intensify during next (24)hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th DECEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Sagaing, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhin States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Eastern and Southern) Shan States. Degree of certainly is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface winds speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, ( Eastern and Southern) Shan State.
