10-1-2026: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 855 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 270 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards, weaken into a Depression and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is  cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy  elsewhere over the  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 14th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in  Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Chin State and widespread in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions,Kachin, Shan , Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway Taninthayi Regions,Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
